Best shaved ice on the island. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the wait. I get everyone is on island time, but waiting an hour for a 10 person line to make it through is ridiculous. Plan on extra time to get this delicious treat.

THE BEST shaved ice you can get. We went two days in a row. You can get a scoop of ice cream in your shaved ice, and it's amazing. My husband and I split the regular and there was plenty! Love the pineapple, Pina colada, and coconut flavors with a scoop of toasted coconut ice cream in the middle! 🙌

Nice people serving great shaved ice! Cash only. There can be long lines at times but it's in a perfect location between Hawi and Puako which makes it a great place to get something cold on your drive. Also check out Kohala Burgers right next door...the burgers are really solid.

Do not let the place deceive you. It is a tiny whole in the wall but it is just amazing and staff was so friendly and patient with our 3 kidos who of course could not make up their minds. Lots of options all delicious

If there is no line, I would give this place five stars and advise anyone to go.However, the other reviews are accurate. It literally took the server 64 minutes to handle the ten customers in front of us. I can appreciate island time, but this was absurd. I've never seen someone shave ice and scoop ice cream so slowly.

Delicious ice cream and shave ice. Its island time here, so there was a long line and it took a while to get to the front of the line, but it was worth the wait. Local flavors such as Kona coffee and mango. Also, sugar free shave ice flavors available.

Yummy shave ice and ice cream. They even have two dairy free options. Would be even better if they expanded their vegan choices.

The service was kind and efficient, the ice was beautifully soft and fluffy, and the flavors were tasty. Lots of syrup flavors and a nice selection of ice cream flavors, even two sorbet choices. There are two shave ice sizes: small and regular, but both were very generous. I got a small and it was almost more than I could handle. My son got a regular with sorbet in the middle, and it was about as big as his head! The prices seemed quite reasonable, too. I wish we'd discovered this place earlier in our trip!

Amazing! Best ice ever for the Hawaiian ice! The lillikoi cheesecake is soooooo good and the toasted coconut and haupia are perfect! Easy parking and if you call they might be open later than posted hours. Exactly what I was looking for 😁

Great shave ice place! Better than the locations on Oahu. Ben is very nice guy and always gives generous portions. We always visit here when we come to Kawaihae.

It took 30 minutes for four people ahead of us to order four shave ices- and for my family to order two. That’s six shave ices in 30 minutes, three cash transactions in 30 minutes, or one shave ice every five minutes.

Delicious!! Well worth a stop. We were driving by and stopped because I had never had shaved ice before. It was amazing!! They had at least 20 flavors and for $4 (small size) you get this huge shaved ice. I’ll have to make a stop again before I leave!

Delicious shaved ice with ice cream embedded. Price was right, and the portion generous. Friendly service with a lot of flavor options. It's worth the drive if you're staying at one of the resorts in the area.

The shave ice was very good, fine ice and great flavors. My husband and son had ice cream in theirs and said it was really good; rich and creamy. The gentleman working was nice as well. My only complaint/suggestion is they should have more than one person working during the peak times. We had to wait in line for about an hour for 14-15 people ahead of us. It took him about 15 min to fix our 4 small shave ice. Of the 3 places we tried during this trip, this was our favorite location, just plan on a long wait in the afternoon.

Small hole in the wall shave ice and ocean location. Larab1out 10 kinds of ice cream. During peak times service can be slow. Ice cream is good - decadent chocolate and strawberry. 4 soda choice for floats. Was a little disappointed in shave ice syrup. Flavor was there but it lacked sweetness and there seemed to be a shallow pour making parts of it very white and without syrup. Conveniently located next to Kohala burger so you can grab a bite after.

Wow what a treat for a reasonable price try anything you ll love it

This place is SO amazing!!! I went on vacation to get shaved ice. You get a spoon for your shaved ice with a sample of ice cream on it(which was a nice perk). I didn’t know what flavors I wanted so I asked a worker to surprise me and it was delicious! I think the flavors were guava, blue Hawaii, and melona. Definitely worth going! The service and product is great!

One of the better shaved iced available on the big island. They are open until 6pm yet people kept showing up and lining up even after 6 so I admire their commitment to serving. There’s almost always a line so come earlier than 6 if you want to be served... great flavor selection and the flavors tasted great as well.

Awesome flavors. The ice cream is amazing. Service is very attentive but it will take a minute.
